VV Ultimatum Shikai, Schrift & Resurrection Tier List

Updated on June 9, 2026: Reranked all tier lists after more testing.

The best Shikai, Schrift and Resurrections in VV Ultimatum, similar to Type Soul, aren’t only the Legendary ones. There’s some really strong Uncommons and Rares, especially with upgrades and variants. Here’s my complete VV Ultimatum tier list for Shinigami Shikai, Quincy Schrifts and Hollow Resurrections.

VV Ultimatum Shinigami Shikai Tier List

The best Shinigami Shikai ability in VV Ultimate is Ice for straight PVP and Sengonzakura for a PVP and PVE mix due to its mode. The B-Tier has good alternatives for damage though they require much more setup. The C-Tier is for weaker abilities that can still be sometimes usable and D-Tier is for the weakest unusable option. Let’s dive into the individual ranking reasons.

S-Tier Shikai

Ability	Ranking Breakdown
Ice Uncommon	• Massive combo potential with the freeze trail • The clone is excellent utility too • Plus, the Red Ice variant is really good if you want to set up slower moves since it increases freeze time • Overall the best dueling Shikai for PVP and humanoid PVE enemies

A-Tier Shikai

Senbonzakura Legendary

• The most stacked Shikai in the game moves-wise due to the mode but not the most powerful • Senbonzakura has no Shikai variants but the moveset is full of move variants for mixing up combos and dealing great damage • The M2 is an amazing combo extension and follow-up • It gets even stronger in your mode with stronger M1s, M2s dash attacks and a powerful finisher • That said it’s much harder to use than Ice and requires more setup and move stacking knowledge to use effectively

B-Tier Shikai

Ability	Ranking Breakdown
Flame Uncommon	• Quite impressive damage here but the first move is telegraphed and slow so it’s lower combo potential than Ice • The dash strike is really good though for combo follow-ups and mobility • That said it’s a bit weaker damage than Senbonzakura and lower combo potential than Ice
Reversal Common	• Reversal works well with Hakuda/Speed so it makes for a pretty good combo Shikai • The clone can sometimes be very telegraphed and obvious but it still helps you apply pressure • Overall a decent PVP alternative to the higher-tiers

C-Tier Shikai

Ability	Ranking Breakdown
Ink Rare	• Ink deals okay damage but the problem is that the running move is very slow and telegraphed • This makes it harder to use in PVP than other Shikais • The dashing slash move is pretty good though but it doesn’t makeup for the overall slowness of Ink

D-Tier Shikai

Ability	Ranking Breakdown
Waypoint Rare	• Not that strong since it lacks damage and combo potential • Great mobility in combat but it doesn’t combo well with anything • Useful for traversal but airwalk pretty much takes care of that • Obsolete

VV Ultimatum Quincy Schrift Tier List

The best Quincy Schrift is easily Superstar but it’s also one of the strongest movesets across all factions (You’ll see why below). There are some excellent alternatives as well but some require more setup than others. Note that Quincy don’t have an overwhelmingly weak Schrift so no D-Tier. Here are my individual ranking reasons for all Schrifts ranked.

S-Tier Schrift

Ability	Ranking Breakdown
Superstar Legendary	• Superstar is easily the best Quincy Schrift and one of the best movesets overall in VV • Super Fan is great for buffing the damage of all your moves and focus on the Popularity heal customization for defense • The teleport kick and then your mode’s teleport punch deal massive damage and posture and are great for comboing with Hakuda • Overall you have a ton of damage and heals with Superstar making it incredibly powerful
Thunderbolt Uncommon	• Excellent damage, AOE and range • Blue Jets is amazing for making Electric Blitz faster for PVP • The Dragon Thunder variant is great for PVE • One of the best Schrifts in the game

A-Tier Schrift

Necromancer Rare

• Necromancer is either really strong or awkward to use so keep this in mind before picking it • It’s really strong with the right mobs and with the variant where your summons freeze for setting up combos • There’s a lot of pressure potential here for both PVE and PVP • The downside is that some summons are really bad, some are buggy, and your opponent can sometimes flashstep away to despawn your summon • Overall a very fun and potentially powerful Schrift to use, but it requires a ton of practice and getting used to

B-Tier Schrift

Ability	Ranking Breakdown
Heat Rare	• Heat is more reliable than Necromancer for beginners but with lower potential • Still, Heat can deal some great damage if you know how to combo the moves well • It’s just less damage than Thunderbolt and less combo potential than Superstar • As for the drain variant, draining Rei isn’t as OP as in Type Soul but it’s still pretty good for PVP in VV

C-Tier Schrift

Ability	Ranking Breakdown
Dimensional Uncommon	• Dimensional has a lot of defensive mobility • That said it’s not as strong in PVP and PVE as other Schrifts • I wouldn’t take the Variant since Tear the Skies is your main damage unless you’re only using Dimensional for mobility with portals on a Speed/Hakuda build
Blademaster Common	• Quite a decent Schrift for beginners • It just doesn’t deal as much damage as the higher-tiers and has smaller hitboxes so the moves are harder to hit

VV Ultimatum Hollow Resurrection Tier List

The best Resurrection in VV Ultimate for Hollow players depends on playstyle and builds. Hollows have some of the strongest movesets but they’re heavily tied to your skill tree. That’s why, depending on your build, you can consider Shark, Fury, Los Lobos and Luminosity to be about equal. That said, Shark is at the top since it’s the least situational, accesible and overall powerful. Let’s dive into the rankings.

S-Tier Resurrections

Ability	Ranking Breakdown
Shark Rare	• Shark has great moves overall for pure damage and combos • It’s less move-stack-based than Fury but deals more damage • The variant is also really good for even more damage • Overall it works with more skill-tree combos than the A-Tiers

A-Tier Resurrections

Ability	Ranking Breakdown
Fury Rare	• Fury is a very skill-based moveset due to its combos with Hakuda • With Elastic you can movestack a lot due to the pull and dash grab true combos into the Dragon uppercut • Overall high A-Tier with Hakuda
Los Lobos Legendary	• There’s a ton of ranged damage and air combo potential here with the air launcher light attack follow-up • Combine it with Kido for a ton of ranged damage and kiting potential • It’s less flexibile in this way than other Legendaries since it doesn’t work well with Hakuda and sometimes Strength • Still, the various firing modes, Cero Metralleta nukes and combos make Los Lobos one of the top 5 movesets in the game
Luminosity Uncommon	• Luminosity is very good • It’s skill-based and relies on combos a lot but with practice it has the potential to be one of the better Hollow movesets • Plus you get some ranged options for combo starters and finishing off lower HP enemies

B-Tier Resurrections

Ability	Ranking Breakdown
Frozen Haze Common	• Only good with a few upgrades and due to the AOE mute move • It’s quite powerful but the moveset is heavily reliant on it • That’s why I put it slightly lower than other Resurrections

C-Tier Resurrections

Ability	Ranking Breakdown
Electro Uncommon	• Electro is decent but the overall damage and combo potential is lower than other Resurrections • It also doesn’t have a single powerful move like Frozen Haze and its variants are just cosmetic
