VideoBrains returning to London March 30

Video game talks and panels about NPCs

Recommended Videos

In a little under two weeks London’s Meltdown gaming bar is going to be once again playing host to VideoBrains, an evening of talks about the world of videogames. Running from 7:00pm until 10:00pm on Monday March 30, the evening will consist of a number of fifteen minute talks about NPCs in videogames.

Entry to the event costs £5 and will get you talks from Ben Meredith (All the Game’s a Stage (And those Statues and that Mountain merely Characters)), Helen Gould (Sworn to carry our burdens: Avoiding terrible NPCs), Christos Reid, Sean Smith (I like not fair terms and a villain’s mind), Florencia Minuzzi & Dustin Connor (Writing and Designing NPCs: Things to consider in a narrative heavy game) and Thryn Henderson (RNG Friendships, or Why I Love Blathers).

Full disclosure, I’m also doing a talk on the NPCs of Mass Effect 2 and why I cared more about their fate than that of the universe.

Event organiser Jake Tucker has just released an additional ten tickets for the event, so if you want to come along now’s a good time to grab tickets.
