I hope I can make it out to what sounds like it’s going to be an awesome show. Video Games Live always puts on a great show, but they have some big stuff planned for their 200th, which is set to go down during E3 week next month.
On June 8th, right across the street from E3 at the Nokia Theater at L.A. Live, Video Games Live’s special show will see all kinds of talented composers coming out to support the concert series. The after-show meet and greet list is packed with the industry’s greatest: Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger, Xenogears), Hip Tanaka (Nintendo’s powerhouse composer), Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill), Marty O’Donnell (Halo) and many, many more. You’ll find a full list after the jump. I must get into this meet and greet.
The set list for the show is also amazing. I freaked out just reading it! Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross will be played, with composer Mitsuda taking the stage. Castlevania music will be performed, with Kinuyo Yamishita on organ! The world premiere of the music from Resident Evil 5 is also slated. Again, there’s too much to list here!

Tickets are on sale now. I hope I can break away from E3 for long enough to make it to this show. If you don’t have an insane schedule that week like I do, you should definitely go.
