In a further attempt to quiet the ire of some disgruntled fans, Valve’s Chet (!) Faliszek told Shacknews recently that not only is the promised DLC for Left 4 Dead a reality, but that an announcement regarding such would be on the way shortly. He went on to say that these new goods would also be escorted by promised enhancements like the team-based matchmaking update.
Valve’s Marketing VP Doug Lombardi has also noted to Eurogamer that despite fire and brimstone, Left 4 Dead 2 is already seeing pre-order numbers that double those of its predecessor at this point in time away from its launch. While the bitching and moaning is bound to continue regardless, more word that Valve fully plans to uphold its promise to buyers of the original game should serve to calm a few overactive venom glands. We hope, anyway.
Do you think all the ruckus is still justified, or should some people take this announcement as a reminder to STFUAJPG?
