Valkyria Chronicles sales jump 400% due to price cut

There are quite a few fans of Valkyria Chronicles on the Destructoid staff, myself included — solid gameplay, breathtaking art and a beautiful story is the kind of combination in a game that’s hard to beat. At the $59.99 price point, however, the game suffered a little saleswise in the states. After a price cut, however, things have been looking up — and recently Sega announced a 400% sales increase for April (as compared to March). What a pleasure to see such a worthy game performing so well!

I personally purchased the game at the $59.99 price point and feel that it’s more than worth it, but perhaps the current economic climate simply outweighs the human desire to buy every game that strikes one’s fancy. At any rate, the price drop is not a permanent one, so if you haven’t gotten a copy yet you should do so now while you still can.
