We found a small selection of screens on the Japanese Valkyria Chronicles blog, and since we’re such nice chaps, we’re posting them here. With Dale North away on business, we have nobody to translate the Moon Speak, so unfortunately you’ll have to read all the Japanese text yourself.
As you can see, it’s obviously not quite as gorgeous as the PS3 original, but it still looks pretty good for a PSP title. Just a shame that the move to PSP has cost the game its beautiful hand-drawn style.
All things considered though, it’s somewhat amazing that Valkyria Chronicles is getting any kind of sequel, regardless of what system its being put on. Don’t games like this usually slip into fond obscurity, never to be seen again?
