Those of you wishing to jump back into the charming world of Shantae: Half Genie Hero won’t have much longer to wait, as it has been announced by WayForward Games that the game’s piece of adventure DLC will go live next week.

Friends to the End is a side-story taking place during that moment in the main narrative where Nega-Shantae briefly shows up. Players will control the loyal Sky, the lovable Rottytops and the doofus Bolo as the trio of buddies work together to bring our favourite genie gal back to life, back to reality.

Also briefly mentioned in the press release was the existence of an “Ultimate Edition” of Half-Genie Hero, which is to be released sometime in 2018.

Friends to the End launches December 12 on PS4, Switch, Wii U, Xbox One, PS Vita and Steam.. It will be a free download for Kickstarter backers and will cost around $8 for everyone else.
