[Update: As reported during yesterday’s Nintendo Direct. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Rogue are headed to Nintendo Switch in the form of Assassin’s Creed Rebel Collection. No release date was specified.]

Greek retailer The Console Club may have jumped the gun a little on news pertaining to titles in Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series heading to Nintendo Switch, In (since deleted) listings, The Console Club posted dates for Switch ports of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered.

First released in 2013, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag sees the time-hopping storyline take a trip to the Caribbean in the 18th century, where players don the hood of Edward Kenway, a disfranchised privateer, who turns pirate and eventual assassin. Black Flag was highly praised on release for its large scale, engaging storyline and seafaring battles. Today, it is still considered by some fans to be the best game in the Assassin’s Creed series.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered is the updated edition of 2014’s Assassin’s Creed Rogue, which tells the tale of Shay Patrick Cormac, a treacherous assassin who chooses to work his way up through the notorious and ruthless Templar order. Fuck that guy. It received so-so reviews on release, with some critics noting that Rogue felt bland compared to the series’ previous installments.

The Console Club listed both titles as having a December 6 release date. Of course, there is no word from Ubisoft to confirm these releases, but there’s the possibility that we may hear something official during this afternoon’s Nintendo Direct.
