UNIQLO goes retro with some classic gaming shirts

Oh, how I love UNIQLO. It was one of the few stores in Japan that had decently priced wardrobe options, and had sizes that would fit me, despite being a tall and gangly American. The timing on my return home was bad, so I missed out on the Metal Gear Solid 4 shirts that they had for sale. But, as luck has it, they’re doing yet another line of videogame-related clothing.

This time around, their UT line is going to be bringing a bunch of retro games to UNIQLO’s shelves. They’ve got six designed lined up: Sonic, Mega Man, Breakout, Parappa the Rapper, Galaga, and Bomberman. Personally, I’d be going for the Mega Man or Bomberman shirts, although you know how damn tempting a Breakout shirt would be.

The shirts will most likely retail for $30 or so, I’d wager. UNIQLO shirts are made of decent materials and the quality is good, so it’s well worth it.The shirts will be on sale come March, and I’d expect them to go relatively quickly. So, if you’ve got a friend with a UNIQLO anywhere near by, start buttering them up. The shirts will likely pop up on eBay, but don’t expect them to necessarily have your size.
