Uncharted 4 is ‘shooting for’ eight multiplayer maps, all of which are new

No remakes

Hey, in case you forgot, multiplayer in Uncharted is a thing.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is going to continue the tradition that started with the second iteration, and it appears as if they aren’t relying on nostalgia this time. Lead multiplayer designer Robert Cogburn recently noted that every map is going to be new, and that they are “shooting for” eight arenas. Vehicles are coming after launch, which could spawn the creation of newer, bigger maps. New features include sidekicks (AI characters), Mysticals (magic powers, basically), and a grappling hook mechanic.

If you want to get in on the action, Sony is hosting a multiplayer beta on December 4.
