Unboxing Final Fantasy XIII-2’s beastly LE soundtrack

Recommended Videos

There’s been a lot of talk about Final Fantasy XIII-2’s unconventional soundtrack which features everything from rap to jazz to rock and more.  The original Final Fantasy XIII featured an excellent soundtrack, and I personally feel XIII-2’s continues the trend with one of the best soundtracks of 2011 (you can read my full review here).  Even more, fans in North America should rejoice given that the entire 4-disc soundtrack will be included with the collector’s edition of the game that launches in early 2012.

For those who can’t wait, however (and I can hardly blame you given how controversial and downright amazing this soundtrack is), or those who want some snazzier packaging, the album is currently available for import from most major import retailers (CD Japan and Play-Asia are two of my favorites), and I thought we could show off the differences between the standard and limited edition versions of the soundtrack that were just released released in Japan.  Check out the packaging on the limited edition and tell me it’s not as unique as the music contained within.

Are you looking forward to this game and soundtrack come 2012?  What do you think of the limited edition packaging?
