Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 has hit the iOS today, published by Electronic Arts of all folks.
Available on the App Store now for $6.99, the game’s listing mentions that it will feature “13 klassic warriors including Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Sonya Blade.” If that’s to be believed (and why not?), it means this isn’t quite as “ultimate” as the original Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, which featured more than 13 fighters.
The good news is that the game was apparently designed to take advantage of the high-resolution Retina displays, so folks with iPhone 4s will be able to enjoy it in all of its glory. The game will also feature local multiplayer via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well as time battles against the nasty Shao Kahn.
I’m all about me some Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, but I can’t imagine playing it on a touch device. Capcom was able to pull it off with Street Fighter IV, though, so anything’s possible. So, who can’t resist Babalities on the go?
