It’s the last UK Chart listing before Christmas, and you know what means — the inevitability of Call of Duty becoming the Christmas number one. Modern Warfare 2 has maintained its stranglehold on the game-buying public and is sure to find itself under many a Christmas tree this year. The poor noobs have no idea what awaits them when they go into multiplayer and meet a sh*tload of perk-laden veterans.
As Christmas comes and videogame purchases are predominantly undertaken by family members who don’t normally buy games, there has been a surge of old favorites hitting the chart this week — FIFA 10, Mario & Sonic, Wii Fit Plus — plenty of casual chicanery for the family to enjoy.
Still, Left 4 Dead 2 jumped up a couple places. That’s something. Hit the jump for the full chart.
