Square Enix chose the right time to buy Eidos. The company hasn’t had a hit like Batman: Arkham Asylum in a long, long time. The game has garnered impressive critical acclaim, in fact becoming the most praised comic-book superhero title of all time, and has also shot to the top of the UK Charts. Yes, sometimes a good game does go to number one in Britain.
Batman has done the impossible, knocking Wii Sports Resort from the top spot. This is the only surprise we’re getting this week, however, because the usual garbage makes up the rest of the chart. Still, well done to Eidos, the studio was bound to have a success on its hands one of these days.
Hit the jump for the full chart.
