There’s a new studio in Toronto for Ubisoft. Jade Raymond, now the studio’s general manager, took her team from Montreal and relocated recently. According to Gamasutra, this is set to be a triple-A only studio, meaning that the team there is not messing with the small stuff and portable titles. Raymond says that she hopes to grow the staff in their new studio to over 800 people in ten years, and that she’s already plowing through over 2,000 resumes.

“It’s more a question of making sure we choose the right people… the difference between the successful studios and not are those that hire when there is a good person available, not just to fill specific roles,” Raymond said.

What are they working on now in this fancy new studio? So far we know that they’re working on the latest Splinter Cell game using the tech they developed at the Montreal studio. Also, another triple-A project is in the works.
