Despite announcing Beyond Good & Evil 2 three years ago, Ubisoft seems intent on backtracking and bargaining, almost as if it wants to get out of delivering what was promised. BG&E HD producer Wang Xu is the latest to contribute to the sage, telling fans not to give up hope.
“Keep the faith,” he stated, before jokingly adding, “… Please buy Beyond Good & Evil HD if you want more BG&E games.”
He added that he “didn’t know” if Ubisoft was seriously using Beyond Good & Evil HD as a test to see if a market for the sequel exists. One could be pretty sure, however, that if the digital version doesn’t sell, then we won’t get Beyond Good & Evil 2.
In any case, I’m personally getting sick of Ubisoft’s angst and I’d love it to either shit or get off the pot. The current message Ubi has radiated is that it doesn’t want to do this. If that’s truly the case, someone needs to grow a pair and just bloody admit it.
Either Ubisoft wants to do this, or it doesn’t. What’s it going to be?
