Too often we report on studio closers, so it’s always a nice chance of pace when we get to talk about new jobs. Ubisoft has announced 500 new jobs coming to its Quebec location, with an investment of $362 million USD over the next seven years.

This endeavor will see Ubisoft concentrating its American operations for online games and of their infrastructures for their global network in Montreal. The 500 new jobs will also cover a wide range of skillsets, everything from development, production, community, network management, mathematicians, telemetry experts, system operators, monetization, and more.

All this is made possible due to the Quebec Government’s support, which gave a $9.6 million USD financial contribution and adjustments to the Tax Credit for Multimedia Titles. By 2020, Ubisoft is expecting to employee 3,500 professionals within their Quebec Studios.
