Considering Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be a cross-generation game, I don’t know that any of us are expecting it to be a meaningful leap forward, visually. In this video, various developers at Ubisoft talk up the PlayStation 4 and say that for this version, it’s going to be the little details that matter. Personally, I just started daydreaming about how potentially cool the ship-to-ship battles are going to be.

“The beauty of working with Sony honestly on this console for this generation was the fact that it was built for the game developers,” said associate producer Sylvain Trottier. “To be really honest, Sony fixed all the issues that could have been there on the console. And right now, I think it’s up to us — like, we have a perfect jewel in our hand; it’s up to us to push the bar and make it shine.”
