Online gaming destination Virgin Gaming has buddied up with publisher Ubisoft, says a press release sent out this morning. Virgin will be the online tournament provider for some of Ubi’s multiplayer console games, starting with Tom Clancy’s ghost Recon: Future Soldier. So far, that’s the only game they mention, but Ubisoft makes a lot of multiplayer console games, so we expect to hear more titles added soon.

“Ubisoft is thrilled to be partnering with Virgin Gaming on its new venture. We have an exciting lineup of multiplayer titles this year that we believe will be a perfect fit for gamers to play and compete against each other in a tournament setting,” said Laurent Detoc, president of Ubisoft North America.

At the end of the release they tease that Ubisoft is the first of many partnership announcements we’ll hear about in the coming months.
