Two-Punch Man: Guacamelee 1+2 are going physical

On PS4 and Switch

The fantastic Guacamelee 2 is currently available for PC, Xbox, PS4 and Switch, but the latter two platforms are getting a bonus push in the form of an upcoming physical release.

It’s actually going to be a part of a bundle from Leadman Games, which includes the original in its Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition incarnation and the aforementioned sequel. It’s due on May 28 with a manual, two-sided poster and soundtrack download and pre-orders (it’s $39.99) are open now. For reference, the original was previously released in physical form but is now relatively rare.

If you’re looking for a recommendation, I can wholeheartedly say that both are must-plays. While the second clearly iterates upon some of the concepts put forth in the first, they’re both full of heart and manage to rise above the now quite saturated Metroidvania market.
