March 31 was a quite an interesting day for the industry. It was Palmer Luckey’s last day at Facebook, longtime developer Koji Ishitani’s final day at Monolith Soft, and the last day at Square-Enix for Yoshinori Yamagishi and Isamu Kamikokuryo.

Yamagishi is best known for producing the Star Ocean series and Valkyrie Profile. Kamikokuryo served on several high profile games and was the art director for the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy, Final Fantasy XV, and The 3rd Birthday. Both announced their resignations on Twitter and said they are looking forward to moving onto new projects.
