Twin Souls looks like it can give me my stealth fix

This is the successor to a student project and looks great

[Update: one of the co-authors of the game Path of Shadows has provided a comment for Destructoid for clarification. “Twin Souls from Lynce Studios is a commercial project for profit while Path of Shadows is an academic non-profit project. In addition, [the] teams are also different. For us it is very important that the two projects are well differentiated. Also, Path of Shadows and Twin Souls don’t have any continuity or sequel relationship.”]

When Valve releases a list of games that have come through Greenlight, it can be a drag because you’re seeing some games that won’t be fully released for months, or even years. Still, it’s reassuring to know that Path of Shadows, a third-person stealth title, will actually see the light of day. Only, the game has changed name and is now called Twin Souls. Hopefully we’re not going to keep getting it confused with that other game with creepy-face Willem Dafoe in it.

Actually, Path of Shadows was a student project and Twin Souls is the “spiritual successor” (but no direct relation) currently being developed by some of the original team as Lince Works. Citing Dishonored, Mark of the Ninja, and Tenchu are influences, Twin Souls is looking really nice even at this early stage.

There will be a Kickstarter campaign happening in the summer to fund the game’s development. As a big fan of stealth games, I’m hoping Twin Souls is going to be arriving soon.
