Great news for El Presidentes on the couch! While all the news released about Tropico 4 has centered on the PC version so far, Kalypso today announced that Tropico 4 is also coming to the Xbox 360 in Q2 2011.

The main difference between the PC and Xbox 360 versions will be social media integration. In the PC version, you can post tweets and Facebook posts from inside the game. You can also save screenshots of your island on Facebook and compare your Dictator Rankings against others. What ever will we do without it?

Both versions will have 20 new missions across 10 new maps (why only 10?) for the campaign, an enhanced graphics engine, and more disasters. On the city management side, you can now appoint citizens to ministerial posts for political support on controversial edicts and decisions. New buildings include the stock exchange, shopping mall, aqua park and a mausoleum for El Presedente.

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I’m pretty happy with this news. Tropico 3 was a great city building sim, and while these games are normally best played on the PC, this one had a certain charm in keeping you on the couch for up to four hours at a time. Now we can choose whether we want to play lying down, relaxing to caribbean music, or sitting behind the PC!

Let’s just hope they have a different announcer than Juanito this time around, shall we? Silencing him was a bit dramatic last time around.
