Trials HD gets emotional, lets me talk about Boondock Saints

Recommended Videos

Sure, the physics-based racing game Trials Second Edition has been up on Steam since March of last year, but the appropriately-titled Trials HD for Xbox LIVE Arcade is still on track for a Summer of Arcade release, so let’s forget about that for a moment.

A new trailer for the game is making the rounds, and if it weren’t for its fantastic use of slow-mo violence set to soothing, relaxed music, you most likely wouldn’t be reading this. Not to get too off topic here, but it got me thinking about my own obsession with playing destructive videogames to the sounds of classical music.

For instance, when I play Burnout Paradise, a game that actually has a fair amount of classical in its soundtrack, the experience ends up being a little something like this scene from The Boondock Saints.

How about the rest of you? Do you ever find yourself playing games to your own custom soundtracks? Oh, and Trials HD. Right, that’s what this was supposed to be about. Hit the break for the trailer in question.

[Thanks, Morris!]
