Toukiden: The Age of Demons locked in for February

Tecmo Koei and Omega Force’s Toukiden: The Age of Demons was one of those titles I had hoped would make it outside of Japan — where it’s done extremely well for itself, I might add — and that’s indeed happening on February 11, 2014 in North America for PlayStation Vita.

This third-person action game should appeal to fans of Monster Hunter. Here, you’re working to take down oni which have the convenient ability to regenerate lost limbs. That’s where the ritual of purification comes in. It’s all laid out on the official site, but all you really need to know is that there are cool-looking demons that are in need of a good hacking and slashing.

Pre-orders at Amazon come with the skill-strengthening Mitama of Momotaro and the Cat Ears and Fox mask armor pieces, while GameStop is offering two bonus mission collections and the Mitama of Jiijima Yae. These items and more can be seen in the gallery below.
