Toribash smacks WiiWare Europe upside the head next week

Recommended Videos

Did you know that the plural of “Wii” is “two Wii Systems”? INTERESTING.

Anyway, the news here is that Toribash is finally making it to WiiWare, at least in Europe. Word from Nintendo of Europe is that the game will hit WiiWare next week.

The game is set to cost 1,000 Wii points, which is a little steep for a game currently available for free on PC and Mac. Cave Story and Noitu Love 2 are amongst the few games that can get away with that sort of thing. Toribash? I’m not so sure. I suppose it all comes down to how many new features they add.

The game is a lot of fun though. It’s basically a “action figure combat” simulator where you pre-plan an attack by posing your character any way you want, in real time, then set them loose into combat. The game’s physics engine takes over from there, and the results can be quite… violent. Check out the trailer and see for yourself.

I’ll be picking the game up when it sees release, how about you?
