Tony Hawk: SHRED out October 26

Activision has announced that Tony Hawk: SHRED for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii will be out October 26. The game, which uses the board peripheral released with last year’s Tony Hawk: RIDE, will feature both skateboarding and snowboarding.

Also being revealed is a special edition board controller with custom Tony Hawk Birdhouse graphics. It will be available exclusively at Toys “R” Us stores as well as online at Toysrus.com. Pre-orders for the bundle begin October 5, and quantities are said to be limited.

Tony Hawk: RIDE was huge miss for Activision, almost universally panned by critics. It seems to have enough confidence in its board controller to release this follow up, and it’s also aiming the game at a younger audience. The website even has a “Parents 101” section for, you know, stupid adults who just can’t understand how all of these game tapes work nowadays.
