“WHAT A SHOCK!” said no-one ever

As Activision grapples with the issues facing Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5‘s current-gen versions, the publisher has decided to put the release of the last-gen versions on hold.

In a statement to Eurogamer, Activision didn’t specify how long the game will be delayed for, but EG speculates that we’re unlikely to see the game on PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 in 2015 at all, let alone any time near the original November 13 release date.

Here’s the full statement:

We are working closely with our developers to address the issues identified by our community. Our development resources are fully focused on fixes and content updates for PS4 and Xbox One, so we have decided to delay the release of THPS5 on PS3 and X360. We will update the community when we have more specific information about a release date for PS3 and Xbox 360.

The decision is unlikely to be a surprise to many, particularly given the manymany issues reported since the game was released.

As always, we’ll keep you posted!
