What is Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream?
It is the latest entry in the Tomodachi Life series and a direct sequel to the 3DS cult classic. Released on April 16, 2026, for the Nintendo Switch, it features your Mii characters living on a customizable island where they interact, get into wacky situations, and form relationships. Thanks to the Switch’s power, Miis are no longer confined to just the apartment building; they can explore a much larger island. There are more options for character creation, including pronouns and expanded dating preferences. The game introduces new locations, such as the “Fresh Kingdom” food shop and the “Where & Wear” clothing shop, as well as part-time jobs for your Miis.
Can Miis have children in this game?
Yes. Regardless of the Mii couple’s gender, married Miis can have a baby. This feature can be toggled in the game settings if you prefer to play without it. One of the biggest updates in Living the Dream is the ability to manually select your Miis’ romantic preferences. Unlike the previous game, players can now form same-sex couples and marriages.
