With Slash already already announced as a “boss” character (sweet!), and Rock of Love‘s Bret Michaels already slated to appear sans strippers (bummer!), Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock looks like it’s attempting to deliver a star-studded rock n’ roll experience.
Well, it appears you can add Rage Against the Machine/Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello to the mix. In a video demonstration seen over at GamePro, Morello’s name is casually dropped, the first mention of the guitarist in connection with Legends of Rock. Even more evidence is this above scan from an alleged German Activision brochure that also mentions Morello as a boss character in the game.
Tom Morello? A guitar hero? Perhaps. The guy has appeared on the cover of more guitar magazines than I can begin to count, and he is considered by many to be a modern rock legend. This has yet to be confirmed by Activision, Neversoft, or that girl I know who met Morello at a show in Chicago last fall, but we should be expecting an official announcement in the near future.
OK, so let’s get this out of the way — who’s upset that it’s not Dimebag Darrell?
