The theme for TGS 2014 has been decided: Changing Games: The Transformation of Fun. I have no idea what that means. At all. But I do know that there’s a good chance that a bunch of Persona games will be playable at the show this year. And that’s fun, right?

Tokyo Game Show returns to Makuhari Messe for four days this fall, running from Thursday, September 18 through Sunday, September 21, 2014. They’re expecting over 220,000 visitors this year.

For this, their 24th show, CESA aims to expand, adding Makurahi Messe’s 9th hall, Event Hall, and the International Conference Halls, growing beyond the halls 1-8 that they’ve used for the past several years. They’re busy planning for e-sports competitions, a dedicated cosplay area, and even a live music event space this year.

TGS continues to be my favorite part of writing about videogames. Last year was weird because everything was on hold prior to the next-gen system launches. But this year should be great.
