Toki bringing its gross-ass spitting to PC, PS4 and Xbox One soon

Gobbing Gorilla

Fans of arcade classic Toki, who may have been a little jealous of the Nintendo Switch remake last year, will be pleased to hear that the saliva-heavy ape is bringing his rejuvenated antics to PC, PS4 and Xbox One sometime in Q2 of 2019.

Toki is the story of the titular young man who is transformed into a gorilla by the voodoo priest Bashtar. Toki must climb, jump, swim and spit his way through a series of stages, enemies and bosses in order to face Bashtar, rescue his girl Miho and, hopefully, restore his human form.

Developed by Microids, the tough 1989 platformer has been given a full visual overhaul, along with few useful modern-day improvements, such as a quick-save function, a new easier difficulty option and a selection of graphic filters. This new edition will also include a “speedrun mode”. You can check out a trailer for the Nintendo Switch release below.

Toki is coming to PS4, PC and Xbox One sometime in the next quarter of 2019.
