18 years ago today, Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars was released in North America (though if you want to get really technically the game was first released in Japan on March 9, 1996).
Normally I don’t really keep up with game anniversaries, but I had to make a special note of it this time as a local news station in Dothan, Alabama actually made a special mention of it in their programming. Totally random, yet pretty cool this happened at all.
Super Mario RPG holds a really special place in my nostalgia boner, and I consider it one of my favorite games of all time.
