Tink is a game with 40,000,000 colors in it

Okay, maybe it doesn’t have quite so many colors in it, but I’m sure my usual sensationalism can be forgiven when it’s used to promote indie games that may otherwise be ignored. I’m using my powers for good.

I learned about Tink the same way I learn about most of these games, by seeing it on Rock, Paper, Shotgun. The game recently won the Best Project 2012 at some event nobody cares about, and it seems the victory was justified.

According to developer Mimimi, Tink is set in “Tinkerworld, where everything can be built from basic materials as long as the idea behind it is strong enough. Cities, forests, mountains and seas are crafted from nothing more than color, paper and glue.”

It’s hoping to hit PSN, XBLA and Steam next year, if it can get the cash. Fingers crossed!
