I’m sorry, Samit, but the only “sports” games I’ll touch are golf ones. EA’s Tiger Woods PGA Tour is one of the best. They may not be great in the graphics department, but they excel in the gameplay department — kind of like Tiger himself. He may not be great in the loyalty department, but he excels in the game play department.
EA has announced Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 for this summer, coming to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and iPhizzy. They also announced that today kicks off the public beta of Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online, which lets you try it out for free. Me? I’m not touching it. It’s browser-based, and seeing as how my work is also browser-based, I’ll never get anything done.
I hope the Wii version of PGA Tour 11 supports the revolutionary (yes, I said that) Wii MotionPlus controls. The addition of these controls in PGA Tour 10 made it a fantastic game.
[Update: F*ck, I’m playing it now.]
