Things just got real (again) between THQ and Jakks Pacific. The publisher of Red Faction: Guerrilla and Legends of Wrestlemania recently sued the toymaker over a decision to extend their joint deal with the WWE for an additional five years. Apparently, Jakks Pacific inked the binding contract with the WWE without THQ’s permission. That’s a no-no, we believe.

THQ’s argument is that Jakks shouldn’t have the ability to make a decision for both parties. THQ also doesn’t like a term in the new contract that keeps the publisher from publishing a WWE game a year after the contract is toast. Jakks Pacific is all like, “Nu-uh. I do what I want; unilateral decisions not excluded.” Ultimately a judge — not a Hell in a Cell match as we didn’t previously report — will decide this thing.
