THQ Nordic’s family just got a little bit bigger, as the Darksiders and BioMutant developer has picked up BugBear Entertainment and Coffee Stain Studios. The announcement was made on the official THQ Nordic website.

Helsinki-based Bugbear Entertainment are known for demolition derby series FlatOut from the mid ’00’s and are currently hard at work on the similarly carnage-filled Wreckfest. Indie studio Coffee Stain are best-known for their goofy physics game Goat Simulator. The purchase includes all intellectual property rights for both studios.

Speaking in a financial report, THQ Nordic also revealed that they have some 35 unannounced games in the pipeline. Blimey. No doubt the new acquisitions and their respective staff will help see some of these projects through to completion and release.

THQ Nordic’s next release, Darksiders III, launches November 27 on PS4, PC and Xbox One.
