THQ acquires 38 Studios’ Kingdoms of Amalur IP

Ellen Rose is likely ecstatic

THQ Nordic has announced, today, that it acquired the IP rights to 38 Studios’ Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. While not specifying which assets came along with it, this could mean the game will now receive a remaster in the future. Since I know some super fans of the game do exist, it could also mean an eventual sequel way down the line should a remaster sell well.

For the time being, though, we just have the news and not much else. Hopefully, things work out as I remember Kingdoms of Amalur launching to pretty solid reception. The demo I played reminded me of some of my favorite bits from World of Warcraft, as well. Maybe I should boot up that copy I got from PlayStation Plus years ago.
