Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West is one of those games you hear nothing but pleasant things about, yet you’re always too “busy” to try out. Now we have no excuse, as Fatshark’s team-centric multiplayer western is a free download for the weekend.

Beyond that, the game is temporarily $7.49 (half off). Some people like to write stuff like this off as a Team Fortress 2 clone. Remember when — before “first-person shooter” was used — everyone called those games “Doom-like”? We need to coin a new phrase for this sub-genre. Suggestions, people!
