This War of Mine can be a pretty heavy game, but 11 bit studios has a lighter sight in mind — a board game adaptation. It will sport a companion app, and the creator notes that it will support up to six players with easy to follow rules.

They want to drive this last bit home so far that they are claiming that it will “omit the usual boardgame threshold,” as an “instant-play game, with no need to read the manual before starting the adventure.” Uh, well that is pretty ambitious — if we end up getting a copy, we’ll share our thoughts.
