This new musical exploration game trailer is so FRACT

‘I can hear some frakking music coming from somewhere inside the ship!’

We have seen a bit of FRACT in the past. Nearly a year ago it was put onto Steam Greenlight, where it went through and was quickly supported by the Indie Fund. Now that it is nearing official release, we may just be seeing more of the unique musical puzzle exploration title that appears to take place in a strange land made of synthesizers and purple polygons.

Exploration as the main focus of a game can easily go wrong with either too much hand-holding or not enough payoff, but FRACT appears to be walking the fine line pretty well, with musically interesting environments and light puzzle gameplay to point players in the right direction. The release is still listed as “early 2014,” so while we don’t know exactly when it will be widely available, it should be some time soon.
