This multi-pot lid deflection battle is one of the best Zelda: Breath of the Wild videos I’ve seen to date

Practice makes perfect

I’ve seen a lot of impressive Zelda: Breath of the Wild videos in my time. Maybe all of them! But this one is definitely in the top 10.

Posted by “hsjdf” on reddit, the phrase “when you were partying, I studied the [blade] pot lid” is more than sufficient for setting this one up. The player comes face to face with one of the more insidious Guardian portions of the game, with six of them pointing at Link all at once.

In Zelda: Breath of the Wild you can deflect the Guardian’s laser blasts back at them: in fact, it’s one of the most efficient ways to take them out. If you use a fragile pot lid you can only get one block before it disintegrates, but here, the player circumvents that by quickly swapping between five different lids and deflecting each blast in turn (with the last two blasts hitting at the exact same time).

They aren’t the first person ever to do it, but I’ve been playing a lot of Devil May Cry again recently, and the new Switch style swap for instant Royal Guard access immediately came to mind.
