Plus, a Digital Edition model
Finally, after years of rumors and fake designs, we finally know what the PlayStation 5 looks like.
Here it is, in all its glory:
It’s very white and, uhh, futuristic-looking? It’s sitting upright so we can see all those curvy angles. Rotate the image 90-degrees (or your head) and you see what it looks like lying down. Also, those guesses about a white controller hinting at a white base model were accurate.
There’s one more tidbit about launch models. The PS5 will come in a standard edition and a Digital Edition. The Digital Edition doesn’t have a disc drive, meaning that all games and media it plays have to be downloaded. It’ll presumably be a little cheaper.
However, Sony stopped just short of giving us a price or a launch date. It seems Sony and Microsoft are still playing chicken when it comes to giving away those key strategic details.
