While playing The Walking Dead, I often thought about whether it could have been released on earlier consoles and what it would look like, if it were.

Telltale Games writer and designer Mark Darin answers this question via an awesome gallery of images reinterpreting scenes of The Walking Dead into the Commodore 64’s limited color palette and graphical quirks. I’m more of an Atari ST guy, myself, but I’ll take it!

It makes me wonder: Do we have games like The Walking Dead, now, because technical improvements or design evolution?
