Almost seven times the sticker price
After Destiny‘s recent high-profile beta, a lot of people found themselves more enamored by Bungie’s new shooter than they thought they’d be. Now that everyone’s had a chance to see what the game’s all about, there’s been an influx of reselling pre-ordered limited editions of the game, often times for far more money than they retail for.
The most extreme example thus far is a copy of the Ghost Edition that just sold on eBay for $1,025.00. That’s a lot of coin, especially considering that this version normally goes for $150 (or, at least it did until it sold out). There are several other listings for the Ghost Edition that are less ridiculous, but are still priced in the $300-400 range.
It’s worth noting that at the time of writing, the buyer hasn’t actually ponied up the cash for this sale yet. It could very well be someone looking to cause grief to resellers. But, even if this one never gets followed through on, there are plenty others out there that are turning a profit on Destiny.
