These three Mario Kart 8 commercials are pretty awesome

Lots better than Tomodachi Life’s campaign

Okay, Nintendo. This is more like it. I’m not sure what you were trying with the little girls and Tomodachi Life, but these Mario Kart 8 commercials are decidedly more entertaining and engaging for television, especially given their lack of “target audience.” They’re just fun, action-packed, and do a great job of demonstrating what’s awaiting players in-game.

There are three trailers, including the “Super Horn Test” above, the “Boomerang Test,” and the “Upside Down Test.” Each feature scientists working with different racers, power-ups and track set pieces to study how each interact with the environment, with the catchphrase “Insanely tested on Wii U for flippin’ fun.”

These are definitely commercials that would pique my interest. Check out Mario Kart 8 on May 30.
