These Pokemon hamburgers are to ‘dye’ for

Poke bowls? Poke burgers

Australian burger pop-up Down-n-Out (In-n-Out down under) is selling a two-week run of Pokemon-inspired hamburgers. Squirtle got the shaft as the crew went with two starters, Bulbasaur and Charmander, as well as the ubiquitous Pikachu.

The grass starter apparently tastes a lot like a McDonald’s Bic Mac with a piece of broccoli drilled thru its skull. “The burgers’ flavors have been designed to match each Pokemon’s look and personality,” Ben Kagan, creative director for Hashtag Burgers, told CNBC. “Charmander is a bit spicy and has orange lava cheese. Pikachu we wanted to be a bit silly,” which apparently means it’s, “stuffed…with Tiger Fries, french fries covered in cheese, onions and a Thousand Island-style spread.” I’m not sure what’s silly about that?

Still, I’d eat ’em. Well, maybe not for $15.
