The above video takes environments and models from Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles and re-purposes them for a remake of Resident Evil 2. Which raises an interesting question: Why didn’t Capcom just do this? This project was done by a presumed fan solely as programming practice.
The below video, Resident Evil 2 Reborn HD, is a fan-made project by some Italian developers currently working on putting out an alpha.
I guess when Capcom doesn’t make the games its fans want, the fans can just make them themselves. Or Inafune can leave and make two new Mega Man games.
