‘The Way’ is a flashback to simpler times when everything wanted to kill you

Every once in a while a game slips by unnoticed, and that definitely applies to The Way — a 2.5D platformer that hearkens back to the olden days of Out of This World. It’s out now on Steam, and features a young man traveling to another planet to bring his love back to life.

Growing up with these type of games, they made an impact like no other. With their brutal difficulty, specific puzzle solutions, and creepy creatures, I would spend hours, sans-guides, trying to figure them out. I haven’t had a chance to play The Way yet, but it looks like it’ll deliver on all of those fronts.
