Off Sony’s release schedule
It’s hard to believe that the Uncharted movie project originated in 2008, but somehow someway, people are still trying to get it made.
I mean why not right? It would be so easy to script, given that the games are basically movies themselves, taking after blockbuster proven franchises like Indiana Jones and National Treasure. Yet, they can’t seem to find anyone to actually film it or star in it. We’ve moved from Mark Wahlberg starring and David O. Russell filming to a turndown from Chris Pratt (who doesn’t look anything like Drake), to fan petitions for Nathan Fillion.
But beyond staffing problems the film has also been delayed past its recent June 30, 2017 release date into nothingness. Yep, Sony full-on removed the Uncharted movie from their release calendar this week.
What will we do without an Uncharted movie? Play all four games?
